Describe where it sticks before naming a cause
Open and close the door normally from inside the property. Distinguish resistance throughout the movement, a pause at one point and contact near the closing frame. Sticking alone does not identify a roller or installation fault. A repeatable observation is more useful than a confident guess.
Use a four-step sequence
First photograph the whole doorway and identify the moving panel. Next look at the accessible lower track for visible debris or damage, without adjusting screws or adding lubricant. Then operate the panel normally and note where resistance occurs. Stop if the panel appears unstable, off its track or needs force. Finally close it and operate the latch normally; do not press the frame into place to make the lock engage.
Build evidence that identifies one door
Use an overview, a location view and a close-up of the visible condition. A still photograph cannot demonstrate sliding resistance. If the submission channel accepts video, keep a short normal-operation clip as separate evidence. Preserve the original recording and avoid combining different doors in a clip that cannot be matched to a defect number.
Example description for your report
“Living-room balcony door, right-hand moving panel: the panel pauses during normal closing approximately a hand-width from the frame. Visible grit is present on the corresponding lower track. Please inspect and rectify, then retest movement and latch operation.” This describes the observation without claiming an unseen roller is damaged.
Retest the same movement after repair
Repeat the original direction of movement and check the latch again. A cleaner track is not proof that the original sticking has gone. Retain the defect number and date the new evidence. If resistance remains, state the actual result: “Track cleaned; panel still pauses at the original location.”
Keep the record connected in Wefect
Wefect brings the photo, room, description and floor-plan location together. Plus adds AI photo analysis and description assistance for visible details. Record movement and latch behaviour yourself during the site visit so that the final report connects visual evidence with what happened during operation.
