1. Information we handle
Depending on the features you use, Wefect may handle account information, property and inspection information, inspection photos and annotated photos, floor plans, purchase identifiers and purchase status, and limited technical or feature-usage information needed to operate and secure the service.
2. Camera and photo library
Wefect requests camera access so you can take inspection photos, and photo-library access so you can choose existing inspection images. Wefect only accesses photos or files that you choose to capture or select for use in the app.
3. Local storage and cloud services
Wefect is designed to keep detailed inspection working data and inspection media on your device where possible. Some account, entitlement, project summary and report metadata is processed through Supabase for authentication, purchase entitlements, service administration and recovery-related functions. Photos or floor-plan files selected for an AI feature may be transmitted securely to Wefect's server-side AI service for that requested analysis.
4. Artificial intelligence features
When you use an AI feature, relevant text, selected inspection photos or selected floor-plan files may be sent through Wefect's server infrastructure and processed using OpenAI services. This processing powers features such as defect analysis, room suggestions, report descriptions and Final Review.
5. How we use information
We use information to provide and maintain the inspection workflow, authenticate users, recover account access, verify purchases, provide project entitlements, generate and export reports, deliver requested AI features, prevent fraud or abuse, diagnose technical problems and comply with applicable obligations.
6. Service providers
Wefect may rely on Supabase for authentication and backend services, OpenAI for requested AI processing, and Google Play or the Apple App Store for app distribution and in-app purchase processing.
7. Sale of personal data and advertising
Wefect does not sell your personal information and does not currently use third-party advertising SDKs to serve behavioural advertisements in the app.
8. Data retention
Local inspection data remains on your device until you remove the relevant project, clear application data or uninstall the app, subject to device backup behaviour. Server-side account, purchase and project metadata is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain transaction and security records, resolve disputes and comply with legal obligations.
9. Data deletion
You may request deletion of your Wefect account and associated server-side personal data through the account-deletion page. Some transaction records may need to be retained where required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention or platform-compliance purposes.
10. Security
Wefect uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards intended to protect information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
11. Children's privacy
Wefect is intended for property owners and other adults carrying out a property inspection. It is not designed for children.
12. International processing
Service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where applicable, Wefect relies on its service providers' safeguards and applicable legal mechanisms for such processing.
13. Changes to this policy
Wefect may update this Privacy Policy when features, service providers or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
